About Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame
Business Laureates of British Columbia trophyThe Business Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding individuals who make equally outstanding contributions to free enterprise and their society. The Business Laureates Hall of Fame was created in 1975, by Junior Achievement in the United States, four years later Junior Achievement Canada established the Canadian Business Hall of Fame in 1979. More than three decades later, both institutions have welcomed a total of 360 Business Laureates, with 140 originating from Canada.

In 2006, the newly-formed Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame was created to honour the outstanding contributions of BC business leaders to our province and country. The Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame will stand as a testament to the positive legacy they provide to the enterprising youth of our province.

Each year, new Laureates will be formally welcomed into The Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame at the Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremonies. Nominated by their peers, inductees are selected following a careful review of all nominations by our independent Selection Committee — a distinguished panel representing BC's foremost business, academic and media institutions.

These words represent the foundation of the Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame. While they may have succeeded in different industries, at different times in our history, and in different parts of our great province, the Laureates who have the respect of their peers, exemplify excellence, integrity, and sound business ethics. Their careers are legendary.
